New Union Special 36200 Universal Flatseamers are two machines in one!

Just one machine does butt seaming and lap seaming

Union Special has released two new styles in its 36200 Series of feed-off-the-arm flatseamers. These four-needle, six-thread differential feed machines are able to sew both butted and lapped trimmed seams on knit briefs, undergarments sweat shirts, sweat pants, infants’ sleepers and where crossing elastic is required.

These machines are for sewing on medium weight knits and elastics. The new styles are:

  • 36200UAE52 with a 5.2mm (13/64") needle gauge

  • 36200UJE60 with a 6.0mm (15/64") needle gauge

The styles are delivered ready to sew a standard 607Fsa-1 butt seam. Simply switch the presser foot for butt seaming with the presser foot for lap seaming. Add the lap seaming guide, and you’re ready to sew a 607Lsa-1 lap seam. Everything you need is included with the machine to sew:

  • A butt seam with both plies trimmed

  • A lap seam with both plies trimmed

  • A lap seam with only the top ply (left or right) trimmed
