56100 Bearing the Letter "B"

The Union Special Machine Company Packaging Division announces the next generation of 56100 bag seaming machines—the “B” Series—is now released for sale.

These new 56100s are distinguished from their predecessors by a new bearing for the left mainshaft. This replaces the bushing used in earlier styles. The new bearing handles the load stress at that crucial point much more effectively than a bushing.  The bearing allows the shaft to run smoother and cooler. No more downtime or repair labor due to a burned up bushing!  Another benefit of the new bearing will be seen by customers running the new machines in high duty cycle applications: production can increase because machine speed in those situations may be increased by 500 to 1000RPM.

These new 56100s are designated with the letter “B” at the end of the style, for example, 56100MB, 56100Z30B, etc.
