There’s a new Union Special®
chainstitch pants hemmer available. The NEW CS111 delivers the convenience of bobbinless hemming on medium to heavy weight denim with loads of laborsaving devices:
All these devices are pneumatically operated. The folder is activated by knee switch, and forms a ½" (13mm) turned-down hem. Heeling the treadle activates the presser foot lift. The programming of the motor electronics controls the stitch condensing function. The thread trimmer has been modified for denim operations, with separately controlled pneumatic drives for the knife and tension release.
