& Attach Elastic Binding New special application MF and MFC styles for lingerie, swim and sportswear are a smart, versatile choice for your elastic operations These new Coverseam machines bind elastic to neck, arm and leg openings of bathing suits, sports bras, leisurewear, underwear and seamless knit undergarments. They’re available in flatbed and cylinderbed styles, with your choice of tape cutter. A major feature of these styles is the versatility of one- and two-needle operation. Use them with two needles (with or without top cover thread), or as single needle chainstitch machines. Converting is easy; simply remove the right needle and change the settings. Another feature is the fabric trimmer. This trims the fabric edge along the right needle just before binding to give a clean, quality appearance to the sewn piece. Need to save on labor? Choose a tape cutter that’s right for your needs. Select a pneumatic TC2 single-action cutter, pneumatic TC4 “Fast Action” cutter, or none at all. Each style sews at a maximum speed of 5500 RPM, with a stitch length range of 8 to 16 SPI (1.6 – 3.5mm). Machines come without folder, but binder folder K74691 is available which takes 13mm strip elastic and finishes it to 6mm. (Other size folders are also available upon request.) As two-needle, a stitch/seam type of 602 BSa-1(mod.) or 406 BSa-1(mod.) is sewn. As single-needle, stitch/seam type is 401 BSa-1. Whether flatbed or cylinderbed, two gauges are offered: 3.2mm and 4.0mm. Flatbed styles in 3.2mm gauge:
