New Universal Style Flatbeds

 These new styles feature the same ability to change over from hemming to coverseaming  to collarette attaching as the cylinderbeds above.

They are delivered as general purpose hemmers, and have adjustable main and differential feeds for sewing light to medium weight knit fabric. Four rows of teeth on the feeds aid in controlling the material.

Changing over the machine from hemming to coverseaming is easy:

1. Remove the hem guides.

2. Attach the provided cloth guide to the presser foot. By hand guiding the material, a folded over or flattened out coverseam may be sewn.

3. Or, for sewing parts-guided coverseaming, Attach the optional coverseam guides.

Attaching collarette tape can also be done on these flatbed U06 styles:

1. Remove the appropriate covers.

2. Remove the standard gauge parts.

3. Install the optional gauge parts.

4. Attach the optional tape guide parts.

Some of the applications for these U06 multipurpose styles include: hemming of T-shirt and polo shirt sleeves and bottoms, and folded-over or flattened out coverseaming of overedged seams.

As a collarette machine, the applications include leg bindings and fly openings on men’s briefs, collars and sleeves on T-shirts, and arm and neck openings on A-shirts.

The following top and bottom cover thread styles are available:

• MF7602A-U06-C40—two-needle style sews 8 to 14 stitches per inch with 4.0mm needle spacing.
   

• MF7605A-U06-B48, MF7406A-U06-B56, MF7605A-U06-B64 — three-needle styles sew 10 to 14 stitches per inch with 4.8, 5.6 or 6.4mm needle spacing.

 Optional devices offered on these styles:

• The pneumatic UT13 thread trimmer, with top cover thread trimmer and presser foot lift assist.
   

• The pneumatic CC1 thread chain cutter, horizontally mounted with venturi suction.
