They are ideal for blindstitch tacking of labels to sweaters, neckties, jackets, pants and other garment parts with no stitch showing on the "Right" side. Style 160-20 produces single-thread chainstitch stitch type 101 and is equipped with a calibrated stitch selector to sew 6, 8, or 12 stitches per tack and automatic thread trimmer. It also has two treadles97one to lower the plunger to insert the work and the other to start the cycle. These machines also have a stitch penetration adjustment dial so that the operator can quickly and accurately change the penetration of the needle to suit the material being sewn. The routine maintenance of Style 160-20, as well as other sewing equipment, is important and should be performed at least every six months or 2000 operating hours.
