Basic Preventative Maintenance For Class CS100/MFC7000 Machines

Like all things mechanical that work in an environment that can have airborne dust and dirt, the new CS100 machines need some Tender Loving Care. The machines are designed for collarette attachment, elastic and lace attachment, Lapseaming and hemming applications. The maintenance described here should be performed every 6 months or 2000 hours of operation.

  1. Remove the bottom cover with its quad ring and using a clean rag, wipe away any excess oil or contaminants from the bottom cover, then check the quad ring for tears, cracks or dry rot. (Replace if necessary).
     

  2. To drain the old oil remove the plug screw located in the bottom cover A magnetic plug screw is used to collect foreign material on the magnetic portion of the screw. This should be cleaned at every oil change. Then replace the screw.
     

  3. Remove the cloth plate, Oil reservoir cover with gasket, wipe excess oil or contaminants from covers and reservoirs.
