New Looper Avoid Link Assembly For 36200 & 35800 With Differential Feed

Union Special Machine Company has recently made improvements to the looper avoid link assembly that is used on all 36200 and 35800 machines with differential feed. This new assembly includes a new swivel bearing system and screw stud with closer tolerances for better fit in the machines. The new system virtually eliminates the front-to-back shake that sometimes can appear in the looper or loopers. After extensive testing, the new system was found to keep shake to a minimum even after a life test was performed.

The new looper avoid link assembly, part number 29478FI, includes the rod with new swivel bearing and 2 new screws. It is a direct replacement for the older system, 29478DM, which included a connecting rod with pressed in bearings, ferrules and screw.

The new assembly 29478FI can be retrofitted to any of the 36200 machines and 35800 machines with differential feed that currently use the old 29478DM assembly.* Using wrench TT85, available through your local distributor, the old assembly can be removed and the new one easily installed.

Note:  When replacing the old assembly with the new one, the looper avoid must also be checked and set according to the settings in the appropriate catalog for your machine.
