Special Feet for 56100 Machines

The standard presser foot on the 56100M, 56100P and 56100T machines  works very well for the majority of materials being sewn, but every once in awhile a special presser foot or presser foot bottom is needed to sew that stubborn seam.  Union Special has made available four (4) different feet which can be easily adapted to the 56100 class machines, to help you tame that problem seam.

43227H1/2 - A tractor type presser foot, used for sewing over seams. The tractor motion helps keep the material flat as the seam enters the front of the foot, moves through the center of the foot and leaves the back of the foot. This motion keeps the material from flagging (flagging is the moving up and down of the material with the needle), and helps to reduce the chance of skipped stitches.

FP51130H - A presser foot bottom that can replace the standard presser foot bottom on the above machines. The steep-angled high turned-up toe and built-in sewing guard allows the operator to feed the material close to the foot and needle when sewing tight curves or straight seams.

FP51130M - A presser foot bottom that can replace the standard presser foot bottom on the above machines. The foot has a long turned-up toe to help in keep the material from being caught by the end of the foot when sewing curves or straight seams.

53620H - A wide heavy-duty presser foot, similar to the one used on the 80800E bag closing machines. Used mainly with the 56100P or 56100T sewing combinations, it allows the thick loose woven fabrics to be fed easily into the foot without being caught by the end of the foot. When using this foot, the standard presser bar will need to be replaced with 51957E presser bar that has a larger diameter end where the foot is clamped.

These feet can be ordered through your local Bag/Packaging Distributor.
